Unsound London: Night One

Opening the three-day Unsound Festival residency at ICA, the first night brings together live electronics, experimental composition and a meeting of Polish folk dance and Chicago footwork.

Trance pointillist Lorenzo Senni presents a new live show, with stage and lighting design by Bianca Peruzzi.

Footwork pioneer RP Boo joins percussionist Gary Gwadera to explore the intersections of Chicago bass and the Polish oberek. Their performance brings together Polish folk dancers Maria Stępień and Andrzej Józefczyk with Chicago footwork dancers Tiger and Martina Lieskovska. Presented with Tropical Waste.

Polish composer and sound artist Aleksandra Słyż presents the world premiere of Ruins, a research-based project drawing fragments of the past into the present.
